Your child meets Bharat, and writes their own story.
Most of our kids can name every superhero but go blank when you ask why we light lamps on Diwali. Roots Studio changes that. Across six live Sundays your child travels through India, its great stories, its festivals, its music and its wonders, and writes their own India story. It gets published in a real anthology with their name in it. Ages 8 to 13, small groups, open to every family.
No tiers, no add-ons, no surprise printing fees.
- Pride in where they come from
- Wonder, and real thinking
- The confidence to speak up
By the team behind Bukmuk, the children's library families have trusted for 11 years.

What your child actually leaves with.
Four shifts every parent has told us they noticed, between day one and the day the book arrives.
Pride in where they come from
India stops feeling like something far away and starts feeling like theirs. Your child grows proud of where they come from, and you can see it.
Wonder, and real thinking
Every week they learn something amazing that even most adults never knew. They start to wonder, ask questions, and think for themselves instead of just taking things as given.
The confidence to speak up
Every session is built around talking, so a quiet child slowly learns to say what they think and hold their own in a group. It is where real speaking confidence begins.
Their story, published and certified
Your child writes their own India story and it goes into a real anthology on Amazon with their name in it, and they get a certificate to mark it. For most kids, it is the first time they see themselves in print.

Meet Bharat, the land itself
Why India has three names, Bharat, Hindustan and India, and where each one came from. Its states, its huge variety, and the things it gave the world like zero, Ayurveda and yoga.
The great stories, told well
The Ramayana and the Mahabharata told the way they are meant to be, big and exciting. Plus the clever animal fables, and facts that surprise everyone, like the fact that there are over 300 Ramayanas.
Festivals and music of India
The big festivals as celebrations of life, light, harvest, colour and fresh starts, and the reasons behind them that most people never learned. And India's music, from the national anthem to Lata Mangeshkar to Bollywood.
A real discussion every session
Kids talk, share, and step into characters every week. A shy child finds their voice, and every age has something to add. The confidence grows without anyone really noticing.
An anthology, a certificate, an author page and a book launch
Your child's own India story printed in a real anthology, a certificate to mark it, their own author page on bukmukpublishing.com, and read out at a live book launch that the whole family joins.
One small group, taught properly
Just 10 children a batch, ages 8 to 13, in one warm group. Live, never recorded, open to every family.
How a story becomes a book.
The same rhythm published authors use, broken into phases a child can actually keep up with.
- Phase 1Session 1
The Land & its Wonders
Three names for one land, and the huge, varied country behind them. The wonders India gave the world, from zero to chess. And its great minds, like Aryabhata, who worked out the Earth spins a thousand years before Europe, with a look at what the rest of the world believed then too.
- Phase 2Session 2
The Ramayana
The whole adventure told big. The exile, Hanuman's leap, the bridge, the way home. And the surprising fact that this one story is told all across Asia. The kids take the hot seat as a character.
- Phase 3Session 3
The Mahabharata
The longest poem ever written, and the very human questions inside it about choices, family and what is fair. We ask the kids, what would you have done?
- Phase 4Session 4
India's Clever Tales
The Panchatantra and Jataka fables, where being clever and kind beats being strong. Each child retells a fable in their own way.
- Phase 5Session 5
Celebrations & Songs
The big festivals as celebrations of life, and the reasons behind them that most people never knew. Then India's music, the national anthem, Lata Mangeshkar and Bollywood. Everyone shares their family's favourite festival.
- Phase 6Session 6
Tell Your Own India Story
Your child finishes their story, reads it out, and it goes into the anthology. A retelling, or their own My India piece, with a live book launch for the family.

Questions parents always ask first.
Q.01What will my child actually learn?
The wonder of India, its stories, festivals, music and marvels, and the values and thinking inside them. Along the way they get comfortable speaking and writing, and they finish with their own published story.
Q.02Is it religious?
No. It is about India's heritage and wonder, the stories, festivals, music and monuments, and it is open to every family. We celebrate the culture. We do not teach religion as faith.
Q.03My child doesn't know any of these stories.
That is completely fine. We tell all the stories right from the beginning, so no prior knowledge is needed.
Q.04Does it teach public speaking or debate?
It builds the confidence. Every session is discussion based, so your child gets used to speaking up and sharing a view. If they want the full craft of public speaking or debate, our Speaker's and Debate studios go deeper. Roots is the gateway.
Q.05Is my child really published?
Yes. Their India story goes into a real published anthology with their name in it, they get a certificate, their own author page on bukmukpublishing.com, and they read it out at a live book launch for the family. Every young author gets 2 author copies free, and you can order more copies at a discount before it goes to print. Once printed, the book is listed on bukmukpublishing.com, Amazon.in and Amazon.com at cover price.
Q.06How do you teach an 8 year old and a 13 year old together?
Everyone hears the same story and the same amazing facts, then writes at their own level. So no one is bored and no one is lost. The small group of 10 means we can give each child real attention.
Q.07When and how does it run?
Six live online sessions, Sundays from 11 in the morning to 12 noon IST, one small group, starting 19 July 2026.
Q.08What if I need to cancel?
Seven or more days before the first session, you get a full refund or a free move to a later batch. Two to seven days before, 50 percent, or a free move. Within 48 hours of the first session, or once it has started, it is non refundable.
