Not every book we are excited about is on the shelf yet. A Sip of Change, by Aashie Singh, is one we are still working on, and one worth telling you about now.
Aashie is 10. She loves puzzles, board games, and watching her dog Rainbow dream. She turns everyday wonder into stories with a little help from her mum and a lot of imagination. That last part matters more than it sounds.
The quiet kind of writer
Some children arrive with a fantasy epic. Others, like Aashie, start from the small true things: a pet, a game, a change they noticed in their own ordinary week. Those writers often produce the books that stay with a reader longest, because the feeling underneath is real.
We will share the cover, the publication date, and where to buy it as the book moves through editing and into print. For now, this is a name to remember.
Aashie's book is in production. If your child is sitting on a quiet, true story and wondering whether it counts, the answer is yes.
